If you’re making an especially large donation, please save us money on processing fees by mailing us a check instead. Pay to the order of “BLM Seattle-King County” and mail it to the following address:
Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County
505 Broadway E
#328
Seattle, WA 98102
When mailing checks, it’s a best practice to fold a piece of paper into thirds and wrap it around the check so that the envelope’s contents aren’t too obvious.
Instead of donating money, many have asked how they can donate items, such as food, protest tools, medical and safety gear, and professional services.
If you’d like to arrange a non-monetary donation, please contact us at: donations@blacklivesseattle.org. You can also ask us what supplies we need the most of, especially if it’s for an upcoming event.
BLM Seattle-King County is a 501(c)(4) organization. According the IRS, “Contributions to civic leagues or other section 501(c)(4) organizations generally are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.”
If you’re having trouble using the donation form above, or if you’re looking for an email receipt from the form, review the tips posted on ActBlue’s Donor Support page. If you still need help, contact us donations@blacklivesseattle.org.
